Legends Cup VII – Quarter-Finals Review

KLONDIKE, CPA Central HQ – The Legends Cup VII continued last weekend with four battles scheduled with the potential for excitement and upsets all around us.

RPF (1) vs Wild Ninjas (7)

[Maximum Sizes: RPF – 25 || WN – 20]

This battle took place in only the Stadium, in what was a battle with many changes and dips. The Wild Ninjas had the initial advantage in this room, with slightly better organization and initially a small size advantage. It looked like the upset could have been on, but the RPF started to pull-away five minutes into the battle and, with an effective change to an incomplete box of the Stadium as well as an increase in size – the RPF took and held the advantage for the rest of the battle that lasted twenty minutes. The Judges voted 4-1 to the RPF, who advanced into the Semi-Final.

Victory for the RPF meant that they would face the winners of the next battle between the Army Republic and Night Rebels.

Army Republic (4) vs Night Rebels (5)

Due to bot raids and similar sizes, we could not fairly determine a winner and it was decided by the judges at the time that both armies would advance to face the RPF.

Nachos (6) vs Golds (14)

[Maximum Sizes: Nachos – 22 || Golds – 15]

The battle was fairly close in the initial room, the Puffle Hotel, with both armies having sizes of 15+ in this room. The formations used were interesting, with the Nachos opting for a semi-circle around the fountain and the Golds predominately creating a diagonal line along the circle. The early room change to the Forts ten minutes in allowed the Nachos to gain in size and pull away from the competition provided by the 14th seeded Golds Army. The superior size advantage of 5-10+ for the Nachos and good tactical awareness allowed them to beat the Golds in a white wash vote.

The Nachos would face the eventual winners, after their victory, between the Water Vikings and Army of CP.

Army of CP (8) vs Water Vikings (2)

Due to bot raids and similar sizes, we could not fairly determine a winner and it was decided by the judges at the time that both armies would advance to face the Nachos.

Following an interesting set of battles, we can now present to you the latest bracket with the six remaining armies:

Congratulations to those who advanced, and bad luck to those who have been knocked out. Now it is over to YOU and what you think. Who will win the tournament, who will reach the final? Comment YOUR opinions.
