CPA Central Staff Applications

Interested in working for CPA Central, and getting on the fast track to the administration of armies’ leading news provider? Read on.

CPA Central, now approaching its fifth anniversary, has been the leading source for news in the army world since its founding. A literal center of the army world, this site is a gathering of the best and brightest the community has to offer, and by far the most-viewed site of the army world. The staff who work here can vouch for the bond formed among army’s journalists, and I encourage you to take this chance to become part of CPAC.

Not only are we looking for people to fill reporter spots, but you could also look at this as a way to get on the fast-track to CPAC’s administration. At the end of this year, many administrative spots such as Vice President, Editor-in-Chief and Associate Producer will open up, and those spots will more-than-likely be filled by reporters. If you are interested in becoming a part of CPAC’s administration, which is one of the most respected bodies in armies, now is a better time than ever to get involved as a reporter and work your way up soon.

CPAC, along with its partner SM Army Press, are the only two sites in army media to offer staff payment. CPAC pays 500 xats per quarter on top of bonuses for those staff meeting requirements; above 2,000 xats a year in some cases. We also offer perks such as our staff site, private parties, and the chance to be involved in projects that anchor the changes in warfare as they happen. If you are interested in working for CPAC, comment using the form below.

I hope to see as many new additions as possible to CPA Central in the coming week. I always look forward to taking new blood into this site and helping to train new staff or work with old staff again; I know many of my fellow administrators feel the same way. Good luck to all those applying, and I hope to see you working for CPA Central very soon.

    Recognizing a great leader:

Over the years, we have seen an influx of controversial figures in this community. They have shaped or contributed to the virtual army world we participate in today. But a leader has a particular influence over his/her troops, which in turn, ultimately depicts the outcome of the army.

The leader is the person who instills a mindset into the troops. They are the faces of the army, and role models for future generations. Some of the things that are often encouraged in the average club penguin army are recruiting, being active on chat, and generally following the rules. A good leader retains the army’s reputation by teaching these basic – but necessary- skills.

But one can truly understand the denotation of “Leader” with these six personality traits.

Ambition: The desire to achieve noteworthy accomplishments propels individual leaders to strive and reach their max potential. Leaders need a substantial dose of Ambition to keep that motivation flowing. But ambition can be blinding. That’s when leaders start to make acquisitions that are unsound. They start to set attention-setting goals that should not be prioritized over the army in which they reside in. An overdose of ambition, mixed in with a lack of integrity, can lead to unappealing behavior and even corruption.

Motivation/Drive: The greatest leaders have a inner motive which they utilize to get to the heart of an issue. These leaders will not give up until they find a particular answer to a problem. They consistently instill the army’s priorities into the troops. This motivation is infectious and spreads to increase overall morale. But drive can also cause leaders to stick to a plan that is outdated or a plan that no longer works.

Commitment: Committed leaders sacrifice for the better good of their army. They are the ones who refuse to be lazy. They will never slack off. They consistently strive to better only the army and not their own personal gains. These leaders are loyal no matter what situation falls upon the army.

Confidence: A leader has to listen to his/her inner voice and endure moments when an important decision falls on their shoulders. Self confidence and decision making is a key trait of a leader. They are not reliant on others, and can manage by themselves. They speak with their mind and act decisively knowing that they can withstand any potential consequences. Any insecurities can be detrimental however.
Some leaders just need to be liked. Therefore, they tend to go easy on people. They also have a hard time letting loyal troops go. But such leaders often find their progress halted due to promoting people for the wrong reasons, tolerating non-performers, and allowing rule breaking to transpire.

Leaders who avoid conflict find it hard to challenge people on their performance or perspective. They step aside when they should be giving brutally honest feedback on what they’re doing wrong. A fear of failure is also detrimental to the army. This leads to a small likelihood of finding opportunities and being defensive.

Being Open: A great leader does not keep his/her army in the dark. The willingness to allow yourself to be influenced by others and sharing your ideas openly leads the securing of trust. Leaders who hide their ideas and are secretive/ too scared to test their ideas are a liability to the army.

Willingness to Learn: A great leader always learns from failures, whether it be his/her own army’s failure or another army’s failure. They improve and enhance ideas. Eagerness for new challenges is essential to being a good leader. Leaders who strive to experience new things and learn from them will build their foundations better than those who don’t.

This is merely how I determine whether a leader is truly outstanding or not. The guidelines set above are my own opinions about the qualities of a great leader.
