The Retirement of Roberto, Light Troops Leader & Legend

Icebox, Light Troops Capital - Today, the Light Troops say farewell to their long time legend and leader, Roberto.

Roberto, formerly Light Troops leader, and long time legend, has announced his scheduled retirement today. This comes just after the army’s slight fall into 5th, after a long reign at 2nd place, along with their defeat to the Nachos in the semi-finals of the Legends Cup V. Although there has not been any type of announcement of a new leadership, Roberto mentioned in his post that he and Waterkid have appointed a new leadership.

As another summer comes to an end here in Club Penguin Warfare, so too must my tenure leading the Light Troops.

Today is the day of my scheduled retirement, and this post a final chance to form my experiences into a few parting remarks. Honestly, after I left the warfare community for the first time, I never thought I would return. I saw my career as finished; I had accomplished legendary things and there was no higher to go. However, I saw an enormous amount of potential in you guys, the troops of this generation, and I didn’t want that potential to go to waste. I made the promise, upon my return, that this generation of the Light Troops would be greater than any army. I held myself accountable for that promise, and so it was — this was the greatest generation in Light Troops history.

This isn’t the last you’ll see of me, however, as I will be serving as an advisor to the army from here on out; sharing with you my experience to make sure you continueto thrive in my absence. Waterkid and myself have appointed a new leadership for this army, and it is time for new blood, the new leaders of the Light Troops, to take over. I believe these new leaders can get huge sizes without us — there’s no reason you won’t. You’ve proven that before, so just stay confident and you will achieve it.

Thank you all for the experience of a lifetime upon my return to this community; it’s been a fantastic summer and I wish you all the best

Roberto’s retirement post can be found here.

Although there has been no announcement of the new leadership, Roberto feels highly confident in them and says that they’ll do wonderful. “I believe these new leaders can get huge sizes without us — there’s no reason you won’t. You’ve proven that before, so just stay confident and you will achieve it.” -Roberto.

Here are a few examples of the Light Troops under Roberto’s leadership:

I was able to get an interview with Roberto himself to see what he had to say about his retirement and the Light Troops.

Interview with Roberto, Light Troops Legend:

Ultimately, how pleased are you with Light Troops’ performance after all of this time?

We did good.

What direction do you see Light Troops heading in the future?

I’m not sure.

Do you have anything in particular you would like to say to the Light Troops or the community?

I said everything I needed to say in my post.

Any final comments?

No.

I also asked around the community to see what they had to say about Roberto’s retirement.

Interview with Tacodaily, SWAT Leader:

Do you think Roberto’s retirement from the Light Troops will have any type of significant impact on the army?

Yes.

Interview with Lord Pain, Golden Troops Leader:

Do you think Roberto’s retirement from the Light Troops will have any type of significant impact on the army?

It depends on if he shared with any of the new members of the leadership how he recruits. If he didn’t share that information, then LT Will probably fall. If he did, then it will probably take a slight fall until they recruit the right way, or they are idiots and it will take a heavy fall.

Interview with Doctor Mine Turtle, Redemption Force Leader

Do you think Roberto’s retirement from the Light Troops will have any type of significant impact on the army?

Well, Roberto was a great person for LT. Whenever a good leader leaves, n army would take a fall. We’ve all seen it, but I don’t think it will be one of those problematic falls.

What do YOU think of Roberto’s retirement? Will the Light Troops continue to strive as well as they have these past few months, or will they take a fall? We want YOUR opinion.

    • People who did not enter the new epf buildings never got the new spy phone, so the user never updated it.
